Let’s Play Tennis
While I have never played tennis in my life (save for being quite a pro at Wii tennis), this tennis court holds pivotal and game changing memories for me. By the way, this outfit is kind of…Chicago Bulls inspired. I hope you get why!

This tennis court has been in BF ever since I was born…if memory serves me right. I’d always drive by it and never stopped to really explore it – like most parts of BF (huhu!). Not until I decided to give birth to EFFY and found myself talking to the caretakers about shooting my first ever collection there last 2014.
It’s also the tennis court that lead me to schedule a shoot with Ben, whom I now consider as a good friend and one of my favorite people to shoot with. Spoiler alert, he took these photos a month (or two) after the aforementioned shoot.
It’s also the tennis court that made me into the professional tennis player that I am today…said Gela in her dreams. Kidding aside, this court has been nothing but a reminder of new beginnings, meeting new people, and executing goals.
It’s a new year and I’m
scared (fast forward to 10 seconds later) hopeful. Uncertainty was replaced with hope because God continues to change my heart and continues to change my view to see the better perspective. If anything, 2015 (aka God) has taught me to be genuinely content. That even if tennis court moments don’t always seem to happen, I just have to sit on the benches of life and (productively and patiently) wait for the perfect time when God hands me the racket again.
The thing is though, most of the time, we conclude that our status is “currently sitting on the bench”, when lo and behold, we’re actually already playing THE game – the one that He has set for us all along.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11
I’m going to stop talking in tennis metaphors now. For a little Beefy update before I close up this post: I just purchased a new laptop! ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED! I have been in denial with my trusty Lenovo, who has been there for me since 2010, but with enough money saved, I knew it was time for an upgrade. I can’t wait to post more quality content, use Lightroom and Premiere, and watch a lot of TV series without my screen flickering like a horror movie.
All the best,
