You Are Gold

“Gold” by Spandau Ballet is one of my all time favorite songs and another golden thing to add to my favorites list is Avon’s new 24K Gold Collection! Read on to find out how I achieved my daytime holiday makeup look on Instagram! 🙂

2The 24K Gold Collection Medium Palette – 17 eyeshadows, 2 blushes, and 5 lipglosses. I’m loving that it comes with a huge (but not heavy) mirror!

With a lot of parties and events around the corner, I’ve been trying out different makeup looks to prepare for each holiday occasion. How timely was it that AVON just released their 24k Gold Collection? It’s got all the holiday makeup goodness that I’ve been looking for – rich blues, dark greens, perfect browns, pretty pink shades, luscious reds, and of course, golds! The goodness continues with it’s nice (and very gold *insert heart eyes*) packaging.

324K Lipstick, from left to right: Ruby in Gold, 24K Red, Tangerine, 24K Carnation, 24K Pink, Golden Rose – some of these lippies have real gold flecks in them!

The palette above delivers great color payoff and while I’m not a fan of shiny and shimmery lipsticks, these 24K lipsticks ain’t that bad! I’m actually wearing the Tangerine (a gorgeous, almost matte, orangey red) one as I’m typing up this post. Hehe!

4Ideal Oil Control Pressed Powders = this oily T-Zoned Beef is happy! Currently using the Neutral shade, which is the top left most compact.

Now onto my casual, daytime Holiday makeup look using this new palette of mine! 🙂 I may not show it a lot, but I really enjoy playing with makeup, watching makeup tutorials, and putting makeup on other people!

Step 1 – Start off with your usual base/foundation. Mine consists of filling in my eyebrows, applying primer then BB cream, patting on a lipbalm (with UV properties), and using concealer.

Oh! And don’t forget to set everything with a powder to make your makeup look last longer. Using AVON’s 24k Ideal Oil Control pressed powder in Neutral for this look. 🙂

Step 2 – Using a fluffy eyeshadow brush, pick up the bronze-y gold eyeshadow (second row from the bottom) and apply it all over your lid and right below your waterline. Then, pick up the lighter dark brown color with a rounded eyeshadow brush and define your crease with it. After that, pick up the darkest dark brown color and just pack it on the outer corners of your eyes.

Blend it all together with clean, fluffy eyeshadow brush and complete your eye makeup with any winged eyeliner of your choosing. And last, but not the least, curl your lashes and apply a few good coats of mascara.

Step 3 – Pick either of the two blushes (I used the lighter pink shade) and apply them to your cheeks (while smiling)! 🙂 Finish off this Holiday daytime look with any of the lipsticks above – using my personal favorite, Tangerine!

VOILA! This is the final look – perfect for a family Christmas gathering, doing your last minute Christmas shopping (while looking extra chic of course), a holiday rendezvous with your girlfriends, and more! 🙂

I can’t wait to come up with more makeup looks I can wear this holiday with the help of my new AVON 24K Gold Collection products! Thinking of experimenting with the blues, pinks, and greens in the medium palette – they’re too pretty to not wear! <3

And because it’s almost Christmas, AVON and I are giving all my readers a special discount ’til December 31, 2015! Get golden with me this Christmas and take Php 50 off any of the AVON 24K Gold Collection products on by entering my promo code GELA50OFF. WOOT!
