After seeing Zoella & Amanda sport this hairstyle, coupled with the eminent rise of the “Man Bun”, I wanted to try this look out for myself. So far, so good!
This outfit was actually taken midway through my collaboration with photographer extraordinaire Chiara Garcia and talented makeup artist/Leighton Meester lookalike Aria Ortega. It was our first time to meet that faithful May afternoon. Hooray for new friends! We shot at the beautiful Artist’s Haven in BF Homes, Aguirre. I urge you to check that place out! #InstagrammableYo
When the photos come out, I’ll be posting a behind the scenes vlog to go with it as well – I hope you could stay tuned for that. 😉
Aside from trying new hairstyles and meeting new people, I also wanted to try something new – go on a shopping spree at Tomato! I’ve always been intrigued by the brand since I admired their beautiful (and well thought of) ad campaigns and collaborations (remember the one with Camille Co)? So, I finally made time for it and shopped at their Glorietta 2 branch after finishing my pullout errands.
My top picks – too bad that denim dress is already sold out in my size huhu! The photo on the right is Pam Quinones’ Tomato BLACK collection… aka I’m in love!
This jacket and it’s gold detailing is so pretty! Perfect for jazzing up a plain outfit – see what it did to mine? And yes, I took those oxfords home, but in a nude color.
It was quite a fun experience because…THEY WERE ON SALE! Wuhoo! Plus the staff really assisted me and were really nice. They weren’t the kind that would follow you around while shopping/
breathing down your neck aka one of my pet peeves. Huhu! It pressures me to pick or buy an item asap when sales people do that. By the way, they have branches in Alabang Town and SM Southmall too – a tip for my fellow south homies.
Actually, the top I’m wearing here is from my Tomato shopping spree. I fell in love with the breezy material and beautiful back detail. I haphazardly put this outfit together right before going to the shoot and now it’s one of my favorite outfit combos of all time! It’s just so comfortable and
hopefully effortless looking. Plus, my half bun works so well with it.
Top: Tomato | Boyfriend Jeans: COPPER | Boots: H&M
So, what do you think? Will you start rocking a half bun ala Zoella? Now I’ll just have to figure out how to wear it with my short hair.
Currently googling half bun tips for short hair,
