Hello everyone! 🙂 Trying something new this year – more outfit posts, more womanly handbags and details, more beef, and less clothes…I’M JUST KIDDING! :))
Although I’m kind of bearing my Christmas stomach here, I want to assure y’all that I did not walk around town without the blazer buttoned up. I can’t work it ala Miley just yet! :))
Unbuttoned it for the pictures to show y’all Beetroot’s awesome leather triangle cropped top! 🙂
I’ve been eyeing every Hollywood Music It Girl’s triangle bralette so when I saw a more affordable (and less bralette-ish) version on Beetroot’s IG page (they’re homegrown/a local brand you guys!), I knew I had to get myself one! 🙂
Traingle Leather Cropped Top: Beetroot; Baby Pink Blazer: Thrifted; Jeans: Forever21; Velvet Oxfords: Topshop; Handbag: Aldo
This year I want to be like my blazer & cropped top combo – taking risks but at the same time knowing which risks are worth taking and going for. AKA I’ll know when to button it up or unbutton it and let the world see my belly. HAHA! Okay weird simile, I know, but I hope you get what I mean (blazin’ blazer? yes no? maybe? cheesefries?).
It’s great to stay in your comfort zone but sometimes your comfort zone is all you’ll ever know – what if who you really are or who you’re meant to be is just one step outside it?
May this be a “stepping out of your comfort zone” year for all of us. Doesn’t have to be drastic – like auditioning for that school play that you’ve always wanted to try out for, or actually going to the gym & following through, or applying for that dream job, or socializing with new people even if socializing makes you nervous like woahhh, or even joining a church ministry and truly living for God.
It’s never too late to try or be who you want to be. Sometimes we just gotta unbutton our blazer a little. 😉
HAHA OKAY that really is a funny (but hopefully fashionable?) simile. At least, I’d like to think so! :))
All the best,
P.S. Won’t hurt to ask God what HE wants for you too! 😉 Most often, His plans are better than what you had in mind! 🙂
