At Your Peak

Ever since I ran laps with my cousin Dei months ago, I’ve realized that…

…my body isn’t what it used to be! I feel like, if I were asked to do all the running, playing, chinese garter-ing and all the patintero-ing for hours like my childhood days… I wouldn’t last THAT long! Huhu!

I admit, I’ve been trying to get abs since after college HAHA! And by that I mean, I’d do a few crunches or some short lazy workout.

But those subtle workouts delivered, you guessed it, subtle results! And they didn’t really make me strong strong. By this I mean, if there were to find myself in a zombie apocalypse ala Zombieland, I’d be failing the CARDIO rule!

Phoebe’s warming up her muscles with this tube technique (I wanna call it the rolling pin haha) that was quite fun and interesting to do!

So this year, I’ve been trying to look for the perfect routine for me. I’ve tried boxing, Barre3, Insanity, POP Pilates (I’m a big Cassey fan <3), and iPhone apps (sup Nike Training Club!).

I love ‘em all, but I’ve been wanting to try out Peak Performance Athletic Center  -a circuit training/body building/ weights/kettlebell/TRX/etc. gym with my BFF Phoebe! She has been loving this gym and so I wanted to check it out too!

 I was a bit scared at first because I’ve never been to the gym or any gym-ish place for that matter, in my life! :))

Hallo! This is our, we just worked out for 1 ½ hours friendship photo!

After trying it out, wowowiwa, all I can say is that I’m waaaay inspired to be a stronger & fitter gal! For only Php 150.00 a session (that includes a coach + the program for the day), it’s super worth it + they have all workout stuff you need! Plus, they play cool music to workout to and the people are actually friendly! 🙂

See! I just met them and they’re already game for posing for El Beef! Hehe! It’s not going to be easy at first, especially if you don’t regularly workout like me! :p But don’t worry! Coach Francis is super nice! And he always makes you rest/gives you easy thangs to do if you’re a newbie.

Also, I finally got to use my Final Lap trainers from World Balance that day! Congratulate me because they’re my first legit fitness shoes! <3 Thanks so much again World Balance PH! 🙂
