HAHA! Who’s a bad blogger? I AM! It’s just that I promised myself I wouldn’t blog about anything else ‘til I’ve put to rest some of my pending blog posts. One of which is…
…my 23rd birthday! *insert sounds of birthday horns/trumpets here* Allow me to be all birthday-ish, ahihihi, and all that jazz for the rest of this entry. Haha!
I don’t know why, but for some reason, this year my birthday was schmowzow and extra special! I mean I’m happy and content every year but this year was just extra sweet. :3 Teehee!
Hence, here I am sharing my 2013 birthday experience with y’all because I just feel so blessed and grateful! 🙂 Again, it’s all about the little things and enjoying those little things! Reminding yourself of those cute gestures really tickles…the heart?! HAHA! Okay I’m getting cheesy over here! Somebody call the cheese police! (Above: Say hello to my little sister Abby drink some “Stark Juice”.)
Because I’m Sherlock’s apprentice, the night before my birthday, I deduced that a surprise was brewing somewhere! And I was right! Here are my best friends Phoebe & Jamie and Jon (my OOTD photog naks!) bein’ all sad because I Sherlocked their souls away!
BUT! I did not completely deduce everything! The surprise wasn’t over! Soon, very special people that I haven’t seen in a looooong time kept popping up one by one. The heart was definitely being tickled! :3
I literally died/got teary eyed when Jake and Bea entered Maja’s Cafe. I haven’t seen them in forever! It reminded me of how I missed them so much. 🙂 Hehe! Check out Bea’s southern arm party! I never thought I’d see her come to the South ever…but I was wrong! Love you so!
All night I was thinking, “Wow! That was an awesome way to start my 23rd life!”. Again, I thank you everybody for surprising me (you too Mom, Dad, Abby, and Kuya Alan for trying to be all “stealth” about it).
After hanging out with my friends ’til midnight, I went home only to be surprised yet again! 🙂 Only this time it was my family’s turn! THE HEART WAS DYING OF EXTREME JOY! Haha!
I also opened some of my gifts that night/morning. One of my favorites was my little sister’s Sherlock/Adventure Time/the book I’ve been dying to read combo present. Thanks Susty! :*
Already content and filled to the brim, it was finally time for my actual birthday day! But what do ya know? Another sweet surprise was awatin’! 🙂
This time, my other family, Great City Development, surprised me! 🙂 Ahhh! I always have fun with my Ates and Kuyas from GDC! Plus they made sure my cake and gift was personalized of sorts = hello Gravity Falls! 🙂 By this time my heart was already on double cloud nine!
Fast forward to that night, I had my usual birthday dinner with my family and my grandparents and…
…I got Punk’d yet again! HAHA! Joke! I think it’s pretty mandatory for people to be surprised attacked with songs and free cakes in restaurants on their birthdays. 🙂 But nevertheless, I still felt the love! 😀 (Sidenote: Y’all should try eating at Cafe Juanita! Their asian fusion dishes are soooo darn good!)
Fast-forward to the weekend and here we are at the last stop of Gela’s Happy 23rd birthday train – a game night/sleepover bonanza! Wore a BOTB cropped top (thanks Paolo :3), Topshop pants, and SM Department store boots for this shindig. Oh! Shout out to Strings MNL & Skulltape for making sure my arm had a party that day! 🙂
Cute lovebirds Danica and Migs!
Basically, we had an awesome night playing Twister & charades, eating lotsa junk food, hotel chillin’, watching “The Cabin in the Woods” (spoiler alert: it’s not as awesome as it sounds…sorry Joss Whedon!), eating more stuff…. HAHA! Wow I’m such a great storyteller! :)) I’m just thinking that this post is waaaay too long already, so I’m cutting the long story short! 🙂
If anything, the start of my 23rd year tells me that this is going to be an awesome chapter in my life. I’m pretty excited to see what God has in store for me and for this Beefy blog that I hope you all have come to love. :3
Nothing definitely beats the love (and the seemingly little things) that you receive from your family, friends, and most of all God. 🙂 I’m very thankful that I’m 23, alive, loved (snackkssss!), and kickin’! I hope all of you are too! Whatever age you may be rockin’. 😉
Here’s to 23 and more beef!
All the best,
P.S. You can follow me on Instagram for more 24/7 beefy updates/when you feel like I haven’t been blogging alot. AHUHU!
