Never Too Old for a Fairytale
I would like to invite you to listen to Enchanted’s Ever Ever After while browsing through this blog post so that it shall feel extra magical <3
Storybook endings, fairytales coming true = hello Alecx’s 18th Birthday! If you guys saw my Today is a Fairytale post, well here’s some of the (unofficial) photos to the video! 🙂
Let’s just say every nook and cranny of Blue Leaf Pavillion was sprinkled with fairytale dust and POOF! Your Disney fairytale dreams right before your very own eyes!
Every inch of this party was verryy well thought of and verrrryyy Tumblresque! Photoshootable-wherever-you-went-kinda-place whut up!
Oh! And I get to be Princess Rapunzel for day :3
The Princess for Day package includes: a pretty dress, lots of new friends, loads of fun & good times, and a swaggin’ hummer limo ride to the partay! I still cannot fully express how grateful I am to have been part of Alecx’s 10 princesses! She really made sure we were princesses for a day. 🙂
My fellow princesses from L-R: Cinderella, Mulan, Pocahontas, Belle, Snow White, Tiana, Ariel, Jasmine, and Sleeping Beauty! 🙂
Yes, the meals were amaazzingg and yes, I hung around Tiana’s Place alot aka the dessert section (huhu macarons fo life!!)!
Every fairytale station was interactive. One of which was Sleeping Beauty’s perfumery! I chose the scent Alecx designed herself – Once Upon A Dream. 🙂
Alecx’s Walk of Portraits, aka WOP (haha! joke! imbento much!) was probably my favorite section of all! Her photos were all soooo beautiful and the concepts for each shoot were just RAHHHH! Great job MangoRed! 🙂
At the end of the day, I realized that she planned this whole debut not only for herself but also for others. She wanted us to feel what Nancy (from Enchanted) probably felt when she was running towards the manhole (the one Giselle popped out of) with Prince Charming by her side – wide eyed, excited, with a childish glee, ready to taste the fairytale world that lay ahead.
She wanted to remind us all that we are never too old for fairytales (and that includes believing in them!).
Reminding us that even though life may seem sucky, mundane, and not like the movies most of the time, there is always hope (and it’s very much okay to believe) that fairytale moments can and still happen! It made me revisit our childhood mindset – nothing was impossible! 🙂
I mean, come on! A 22 year old invited to be a princess for a debut?! Seems fairytale-ish to me! 🙂
Let yourself be enchanted you just might break through. 🙂
All the best,
P.S. If you haven’t seen the video, watch it HERE!
