Turbo Diner Girl
One of my most memorable 2012 moments was when I styled Sarah Gaugler for Pulp Magazine! If y’all don’t know Sarah, she’s 1/2 of Turbo Goth and is a tattoo artist for Snow Tattoo! Hashtag talented woman! 🙂

And man! The theme for the shoot was something right up my alley…my dream/interest alley that is….PIN-UPY DINER GIRL!I’ve always wanted to own one (self confessed diner lover right here!) and I love the whole red lips + winged eye liner + sexy but cute clothes combo.

Coincidentally, this was my first magazine styling project and I had a lot of fun! 🙂 The team that I got to work with was really nice, accommodating, and friendly! Thank you Kara B. of Pulp Magazine 😉

Planning/going to style a shoot soon? Always ALWAYS! Bring a bazillion options! Why? 1) Just in case 2) One must always be prepared for the worst (wrong size, the color doesn’t go well with whut, your vision didn’t really pan out, etc.) and 3) Always have a contingency plan (Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, 2012).
Swimwear by the way is a great choice for pin-upesque shoots (I was inspired by a photo of Freida Pinto in GQ) because it hugs frames perfectly!
Kara and the burger!
She very much rocked the pin-up diner girl look!
Neon yellow shoes for a pop of color 😉
Check out this month’s issue of Pulp alrighty? 🙂 And if you wanna see more shots of her outfits check out my styling portfolio over HERE.
At the end of the day, its all about being thankful for the opportunities God sends our way and giving it our all! 🙂 Also, you gotta believe in yourselves homies! Afterall, the most important person who can either raise you up or bring you down is yourself.
All the best,
P.S. That day was reaaaallly memorable because it was my first time to try J Co. donuts!! Dayum! They’re really good :p
